Martha Ilene Dunlap, 91, of Jewett, died Wednesday, Sept. 23, at Gables Care Center in Hopedale. She was born July 9, 1924 in Adena, Ohio, a daughter of the late Orville and Grace McMannis.
Mrs. Dunlap was a member of the Harrison Hills United Pentecostal Church near Jewett and was a former employee of the Scio Pottery Company and a former cook at the Alameda Inn in Hopedale.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Dunlap; three grandsons; three brothers and four sisters.
Surviving are her five children: Joyce I. Maxwell of Cadiz, Bonnie (Lenny) Stewart of Jewett, Phyllis (Art) Best of Hartville, John W. “Woodie” (Linda) Dunlap of Cadiz and Kathy Cusick of Cadiz; seventeen grandchildren; and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Friends may call Friday, 4-8 and Saturday 11-1 at the Harrison Hills United Pentecostal Church, 87800 Cadiz-Jewett Rd., Jewett, OH, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. with Pastor John Kotsanos and Pastor Curtis Mullins officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Jewett.
