Juanalda Voncile Nakoff age 73 of Okeana, Ohio, originally of Pensacola Fla., passed away Tuesday Oct. 27, at the Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. She was born April 17, 1942 in Pensacola, Fla., the daughter of the late Woodrow G. Steele and Gladys Mary (Butler) Crumbliss. Mrs. Nakoff received her associate degree from Cincinnati Technical College where she worked as an executive secretary for 15 years. She was a member of the Sunset Avenue Christian Church in Harrison, Ohio. Mrs. Nakoff enjoyed working with Missions. She particularly enjoyed working closely with Master Provisions in Florence, Ky., and loved spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Michael Nakoff whom she married on Nov. 2, 1963 in the Base Chapel at Bitburg Air Base Bitburg Germany; two sons, Keith (Sherry) Nakoff of Elizabethton, TN and Mark Nakoff of Okeana, Ohio; three grandchildren, Christopher Nakoff, MihailNakoff and Slade Nakoff; five siblings, JoAnn (Wallace) Brong of West Palm Beach, Fla., Rocky B. (Janice) Steele of Pensacola, Fla., Rita Steele of Pensacola, Fla., Woodrow G. Steele of Pensacola, Fla., Evelyn LaFountain of Kansas City, Kan., and Jesse Steele of Pensacola, Fla. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Juanita Ogden.
Visitation will be held 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday Oct. 29, at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg, Ohio. Funeral services will take place following visitation at 7 p.m. on Thursday Oct. 29 at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family at a later date.
