Paul M. Weber, O.C.D.S. – 68 of Hopedale, Ohio died Nov. 30, in his home. Paul was born in Canton, Ohio on July 27, 1947, the son of the late Joseph and Catherine Haiber Weber. He was also preceded in death by a sister Mary Ann Weber. He was a graduate of Brunnerdale Seminary High School, St. Joseph College with a BA in Liturgical Music and Kent State University with a Masters in Library Science. He worked in Canton as a professional librarian and directed a book mobile unit for the Ohio State library. Paul then had a Brownberry Bread and Thomas Muffin franchise in the Canton area for 25 years, before retiring in 2008. Paul and his wife Kathleen Moledor Weber of 42 years have been active in the Catholic Church, giving retreats and teaching Natural Family Planning classes. Paul was a Secular Carmelite, a Certified Spiritual Director, and a member of the Hopedale Sacred Hearth Church and Knights of Columbus. Paul was a strong pro-life advocate. He was very close to his wife, Kathy, their five children, Mindi at home, Jason and Jared Weber both of Canton, Michelle (Michael) Allan and Rachel Weber both of Phoenix. Five grandchildren – Gabriel, Anastasia, Benjamin, Miriam and Ezra all of Phoenix. One brother Daniel of Louisana.
Paul was known and loved by his family and friends as a humble, generous and kind person, always smiling and ready to help anyone in need.
Visitations will be on Sunday, Dec. 6, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Vigil services will be at 7:45 p.m. at Blackburn Funeral Home, 324 High Street, Hopedale. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 10 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 205 Cross Street, Hopedale, Ohio. Rev. F. Fred Kihm will officiate. Interment will be at Warstler Cemetery, Middle branch & 55th Street N.E., Canton, Ohio, 2:30 p.m. Monday.
