Robert L. “Bob” Swansboro, age 62, of Cranberry Twp., passed away on Monday, Nov. 23, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Born July 7, 1953 in Spangler, Pa., he was the son of the late Clyde Swansboro and Rose (LeGars) Swansboro of Cadiz, Ohio. Bob was a Geologist for the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection for over 20 years. He enjoyed traveling with his family. Bob will be dearly missed and fondly remembered. In addition to his mother, Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Beth Ann (Hayest) Swansboro, of Cranberry Twp.; his adored son, Jon Colin Swansboro, of Pittsburgh; his brother, James (Donna) Swansboro, of Cadiz, OH; a sister, Joyce Swansboro, of Fairport Harbor, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, Bob was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Swansboro.

A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at a future date. Bob will be laid to rest among the Smoky Mountains in Gatlinburg, Tenn., where Beth & Bob had planned to retire.
