obit Martha Yeager picMartha Ann Yeager, age 64, of Bowerston, Ohio, went to be with the Lord Thursday morning, Dec. 24, in the Bowerston Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Although primarily a homemaker, she retired as a Dietary Manager for Sunnyslope Nursing Home at Bowerston.

She was born Jan. 14, 1951 near Cadiz, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Melvin and Vessie Pittman Byrd. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers Harry Robert Byrd and Lloyd Thomas (Tom) Byrd.

A wonderful and loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Martha will be sadly missed by her husband of 44 years, Phillip M. Yeager, whom she married March 6, 1971. Martha was a wonderful person who touched the lives of many people. She enjoyed cooking and baking. But her true joy came from spending time with her grandsons of whom she was very proud and loved so very much. She was a graduate of Conotton Valley High School.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son Robert (Carrie) Yeager and three grandsons Andrew Yeager, Lukas Yeager, and Caleb Yeager, all of New Philadelphia, Ohio, a sister Janet Murray of Marysville, Ohio, two brothers James (Patricia) Fluharty of Bowerston and Allen (Penny) Fluharty of Cadiz, and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

No formal funeral services are scheduled. The Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home at Sherrodsville has been entrusted with her cremation.
