Deborah J. Colvin, 66, of Wellsburg, W.Va., lost her courageous battle with a double lung transplant, Tuesday, Jan. 12, in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa.
She was born Nov. 10, 1949, a daughter of the late Thomas and Betty Lou (Mitchell) Vensel. Debbie was a Catholic by faith. She was a member of the Women’s Weirton Bowling Association for over 30 years. She was a devoted grandmother, who loved to fish, go camping and traveling to Amish Country.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jessica Myers, and brother-in-law, Gary Conkel.
Debbie is survived by her loving husband, Les Tennant; two children, Malissa (Tom Thomas) Colvin and Adam (Angela) Colvin; two sisters, Rosemary Conkel and Arlene (David) Ruble; one brother, Tom (Sharon) Vensel; three grandsons, Charles, Dylan, and Hunter Colvin; and one granddaughter, Taylor Thomas.
Family and friends will be received Friday, Jan. 15, from 5-8 pm at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff Street, where services will be held Saturday, Jan. 16 at 11 a.m. with Msgr. Kevin Quirk as celebrant. Interment will take place at Kadesh Chapel, Beech Bottom, W.Va.
