Ronald Eugene Bland, 73 of Cadiz, died Monday, Jan. 18, at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, Ohio. He was born Feb. 5, 1942 in New Rumley, Ohio a son of the late George and Bernice Mattern Bland.
He was a former coal miner at Consol Franklin Highwall Mine and retired steel worker from American Steel Foundaries in Alliance, Ohio. He was a member of the Cadiz American Legion, Post #34 and UMWA.
He was preceded in death in addition to his parents, by four brothers: Kenneth, James, George and Joseph Bland and two sisters: Charmaine Greer and Grace Cannon.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Easlick Bland; three daughters: Tina Coffman, Stephanie Bland and Rhonda Bland all of Cadiz; seven grandchildren: Christina Wasson of Dallas, Chad Coffman and Clayton Coffman both of Morgantown; Camille, Cameron and Morgan Beane and Sophie Bland all of Cadiz; three great grandchildren: Kash, Knox and Kai Wasson and five adopted grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held Friday, Jan. 22 from 2-4 and 6-8 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz where funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. with
Rev. Pete Tuchek officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Church Cemetery, Jewett, Ohio.
