Ethel Mae Kohler, age 103, of New Rumley passed away Sunday, Feb. 28, in New Dawn Health Care Center, Dover.
Born April 16, 1912 in Woodsfield she was a daughter of the late Henry J. Hendrix and Lilly Pearl Moose Hendrix.
Ethel was a devoted member of the New Rumley United Methodist Church. She was an avid gardener who enjoyed baking and making quilts. But what she loved most was being a homemaker and spending time with her family.
Ethel was preceded in death by her first husband Floyd Kohler in August of 1962; her second husband Donald Kohler in December of 1988; a daughter Glenda Arbogast; sons-in-law Carl Crall and James Arbogast ;a great granddaughter Tara Dyer; four brothers Chester, James, William and Kenneth; three sisters Lavada Miller, Iverna Etling and Ada Finnicum and.
Surviving are two daughters Betty (Edward) Albright of Jewett and Kay Crall of New Philadelphia; grandchildren Jim (Barb) Albright, Janice (Michael) Dyer, Jim (Tracy) Arbogast, Jeff (Kathy) Arbogast and Kenny (Kristin) Crall; great grandchildren Joshua Albright, Kayla and Jack Dyer, Molly and Zach Arbogast, Kaci (Brad) Peeples and Cyrus Crall; a great-great granddaughter Josie Albright and a sister Jeannie (Richard) Stevens of Carrollton.
Services will be held Wednesday, March 2 at 1 p.m. in Koch Funeral Home, Scio, with Pastor Kevin Anslow and Pastor David Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Jewett. Friends may call an hour prior to the service from noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
