Wilford Sidney “Sid” Strother born May 3, 1950 age 65 of Temple, Texas, passed away on Sunday, March 20. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and the son of the late Edgar Frank and Rosetta (Hython) Strother formally of Cadiz, Ohio. He worked at the Veterans Hospital for 12 years there in Texas. A memorial service was held Friday, March 25, 2016 at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas.

He was preceded in death along with his parents by two brothers and two sisters: Bessie Mae (John) Smith formerly of Cleveland, Ohio; John Edgar (Jeannette) Strother of Mansfield, Texas; Rhoda Elizabeth (Clarence) Christian formerly of Cadiz; Harry Thomas (Debbie) Strother formerly of Cadiz; a son John Anthony Strother formerly of Bronx, N.Y.

Surviving are his wife Misty Foley, step-son Waylon Foley, Jr. and daughter Grace Strother of all Temple, Texas; a son Lee Sidney Strother and two grandsons Gabriell and Brian Arriola all of Bronx, N.Y.; two brothers and five sisters: Anna Louise “Roonie” (David) Reed of Cadiz, Ohio; William Fleming “Bill” (Elvia) Strother of Panama City, Panama; Norma Jean (Frederick) Garner of Cleveland, Ohio; Beverly “Bev” Beatrice “Bea” Mason of Cadiz; Leota Kay (George) Christian of Cadiz; Sara Jo Banks of Steubenville, Ohio; Richard Allen “Buck” Strother of Tampa, Fla., and a host of nieces, nephews and other family.
