Ida L. Vale, age 60, of Scio passed away Friday, March 25, in Carroll Health Care Center, Carrollton.

Born July 7, 1955 at Edwards Air Force Base Hospital, Edwards, Calif., she was a daughter of the late Ronald K. Strawderman and Dolores J. Hall Strawderman. Ida received an Associate’s Degree in Business Management in 1992 from Belmont Technical College in St. Clairsville Ida worked at Heinz Frozen Foods in Massillon for eight years until her illness forced her to retire in 2014. She also worked at Dairy Mart in Scio and was the manager of Subway in Scio.

Ida was a member of the D-N-V Arms bowling team at the AMF Hall of Fame Lanes in Canton. She enjoyed crocheting and gardening but what she loved the most was the time she spent with her family and friends.

Surviving are her children Kristafer Vale of San Francisco, Calif., Jason Vale of Elk City, Okla., and Dianna (Dan) Snyder of Carrollton; grandchildren Morgan Harsh of Amsterdam and Peyton and Rachel Snyder of Carrollton; sisters Sydney (Alan) Cramblett of Scio, Dianna (Gene) Crothers of Adena and Debra (Allen) Muster of New Zoarville and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Keith Strawderman.

A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, April 16, from 6-8 pm at Koch Funeral Home, Scio.
