Helene Mae Stull Beatty Snyder, age 85, of Scio passed away Monday, May 2, in Sunnyslope Nursing Home, Bowerston.
Born Dec. 2, 1930 in Scio she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Ethel Slentz Stull. She graduated from Scio High School in 1948 and glazed cups at the Scio Pottery Co. for many years.
Helene was a member of the George A. Custer VFW Post 3072 Auxiliary in Jewett and a former member of the Scio American Legion Post 482 Auxiliary and the Scio Presbyterian Church. She loved bowling and belonged to the Jewett Supply Center bowling team at Valie Lanes and the Scio Amercian Legion bowling team.
Helene was preceded in death by her first husband Eugene Washington Beatty; her second husband Harold T. Snyder; brothers Ronald “Chink” Stull and Robert Stull and sisters-in-law June and Hazel Stull.
Surviving is her son William E. Beatty of Scio, step-sons Randy Snyder of Scio and Rick Snyder of Apple Creek; a brother James Stull of Scio, step grandsons Tom, Justin and Randy, Jr.; several step grandchildren: a brother-in-law Dick Snyder and sisters-in-law Kathleen Falls and Maryann Conrad.
A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date in Conotton Cemetery.
