Charles Elsworth Mason 74, of Elyria experienced his transition and entered eternal rest May 6, at Ames Family Hospice in Westlake, Ohio. He was born March 31, 1942 in Cadiz, Ohio and was a graduate of Cadiz High School. Charles was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was formerly employed as an assembler at Avon Ford Plant, and retired after 20 plus years of service with Ford Motor Company.
Charles leaves to cherish his memory: brothers Melvin B. (Imogene) Mason of Mt. Pleasant, Ohio, Francis Rodney (Juanita) Mason of Fairlawn, Ohio, Dana S. Mason of Smithville, Ohio and Michael L. (Traci) Mason of Mansfield, Ohio; sisters Stephanie M. (Dennis) Jackson of Cleveland, Ohio and Francine B. (Steven) Mitchell of Chicago, Ill.; 15 nieces and nephews, 22 great nieces and nephews and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Francis B. and Carrie I. (Smith) Mason; third wife, Felicia Mason; second wife, Rita Mason, and first wife, Erma Mason.
Visitation will be Thursday May 12, from 4 to 7 P.M. at Dicken Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 13, in the funeral home and burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria with military honors presented by Elyria V.F.W. #1079 at the gravesite.
