Former local woman killed in SR 43 crash


A former area resident was killed Wednesday evening in an automobile crash at 10:33 p.m. on SR43 in Brown Twp.

Sara Princic was driving the above vehicle April 27 when the vehicle crashed into an oncoming semi and she was killed.

Carroll County Sheriff Dale Williams said Sara L. Princic, 39, of 7040 Hills-Dales Rd., North Canton, was driving a 2004 Honda four-door south on SR 43 south of Lemon Rd. when it appears she lost control of the vehicle, which crossed the center line and struck the side of a northbound semi truck. The car continued to move forward, going under the edge of the trailer.

Carroll County Coroner Dr. Mandal Haas pronounced Princic dead at the scene.

The 2014 Freightliner semi is owned by Krakowski Trucking Inc. of Medina. The driver, Guy Dourm, 59, of 6312 Lynn Rd., Minerva, was not injured.

The Carroll County Sheriff Department’s reconstruction team worked at the scene with assistance from Great Trail Joint Fire District and EMT Ambulance. The road was reopened to traffic at shortly after 2:30 a.m.

The accident remains under investigation. It was the second highway fatality in Carroll County this year.
