Critters, handlers, strut their stuff

Critters and their owners strutted their stuff during an event hosted by the Carroll County Animal Protection League June 18 at the county fairgrounds.

Along with a strut around the race track, a dress up contest was held for the critters.

Winners included:

1.) – Linda Short and her dog “Ace”, $50 winner; 2.) Keria Taggart and her dog “Mo”, $25 winner; 3.) Lorna Whaley and her two dogs “Popcorn & Peanuts”, $15 winner.

Cheryl Halter and Doug Bettis served as judges.

The Carroll County Animal Protection League is in the process of constructing an animal shelter.

The shell of the building was constructed in 2015 and plans are to begin work on the plumbing in the near future.
