The Carrollton boy’s track team placed seventh out of 12 teams with at last Saturday’s Fairless Falcon Track Invitational.
The East Canton boys won the event with 142 points with West Holmes placing second with 78 points. Carrollton tallied 42 points.
The Warriors had one first place finish. The team of Bryce Carte, Jose Diaz, Chase Flanagan and Calob Dalton took the 400-meter relay with a time of 45.92.
Dalton and Chase Flanagan placed third and fourth, respectively, in the 100-meter dash with times of 11.87 and 11.95.
The 3,200-meter relay team of Daniel Lampe, Noah Carrothers, Evan Days and Jon Russell placed third with a time of 9:02.25.
“We competed well and our younger kids got valuable varsity invitational experience,” said Coach Mike Aukerman. “We are encouraged by how the athletes prepped on a cold morning and the competitiveness for which we ran, jumped and threw. We will continue to get better as the season goes on.”
The Warriors are scheduled to take part in the West Holmes Knights Invitational Saturday.
