A Carroll County woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash Saturday evening on Citrus Rd. near the Carroll-Stark county line.
Carroll County Sheriff Dale Williams said 20-year-old Heaven Marie Crosby of 4287 Apollo Rd., Salineville, died in the crash, which occurred at about 8:34 p.m. She was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Williams.
Williams said his department is recreating the accident scene to determine exactly what occurred, but said the two vehicles collided almost head-on. He said Crosby was driving a 2005 Honda Civic southbound on Citrus Rd. and Craig A. Grogg, 24, of 1161 Bellflower Rd. NE, Minerva, was driving a 2011 Chevy half-ton four-door pickup northbound on Citrus Rd. when the vehicles collided.
Grogg’s truck came to rest on its side.
Grogg was transported by EMT Ambulance to Aultman Hospital. Four of the five passenger in the pickup were transported to Autlman Hospital. Amanda Sue Ann Dietrich, 21, of 1161 Bellflower Rd. NE, Minerva, was transported by EMT Ambulance; Anthony Scott Phillips, 28, of 16441 Hollow St. SE, Minerva, was transported by Quad Ambulance; Carissa Keister, 29, 300 Carolyn Court, Apt. 5, Minerva, was transported by Quad Ambulance and Ashley Knoch, 26, of 100 N. Liberty St. Minerva, was transported by EMT Ambulance.
Aaron M. Keister, 38, of 808 Allen Ave., Minerva, was treated at the scene by Sandy Creek Fire Dept. personnel.
According to the accident report, Grogg, Dietrich and Phillips were wearing safety belts. The others involved in the crash were not, including Crosby.
