Betty Faye Murphy, 91, of Carrollton, passed away Nov. 27, 2016, in her residence. She was born June 4, 1925, in Derwent, OH, to Leland Benjamin and Nellie Rosena (Rossiter) Laughlin.
Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She married Robert Edison Murph Jan. 1, 1944, He died April 8, 1980. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Carrollton.
She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Elifritz of Magnolia; three grandchildren, Kimberly (Keith) Murrey, Aaron Elifritz and Kathy Elifritz; and three great-grandchildren, Avery Elifritz, Paige Elifritz and Jacob Lynn. Also preceding her in death was a brother, Kenneth (and wife Margaret) Laughlin; and a sister, Geneva (and husband Howard) Thompson.
Calling hours will be held Dec. 2, from 5 to 7 p.m. in Allmon-Dugger-Cotton Funeral Home in Carrollton. Funeral services will be held Dec. 3 at 1 p.m. in Black-Epperson Funeral Home, 129 Mill Street, Senecaville, with calling hours from 11a.m. to 1 p.m. Burial will be in the Senecaville Cemetery.
