Brian E. McLean age 62 of LaBelle, FL, passed away Nov. 8, 2015, in his summer home in Amsterdam.
Born in 1953, he was the son of Charles Edsel and Dorothy M. (Noble) McLean.
Brian was a 1971 graduate of Carrollton High School. In 1975, he moved to Florida where he worked for many years as a machinist and welder. He recently retired from Lee County School District. He was a member of Alva United Methodist Church of Alva, FL. He enjoyed tractor and truck pulling, fishing and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his parents; two daughters, Laura (Charlie) Phillips and Julie (Jeff) McGirt, and their mother, Jane (Herrington) Guerrero; grandchildren, Grace and Emery McGirt; his soulmate, Elizabeth Hollis; three brothers, David (Christine) McLean, Keith McLean and Lynn (Kathy) McLean; two sisters, Karen (Dave) Dreussi and Kaye (Tom) Thompson; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Nov. 12 at 11 a.m. in Harsh Memorial Church in Harlem Springs. Burial will follow in Harlem Springs Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in Allmon-Dugger-Cotton Funeral Home.
