Wayne Baughman, transportation supervisor, reported several steps have been taken to ensure the safety of all students while on school buses to members of the Carrollton Exempted Village School District Board of Education. Baughman said school safety is one of the first priorities for most parents. With more than 60 cameras now installed on district buses, safety will improve for all students. “Just the presence of the cameras has the kids behaving better because they know whatever they do is being recorded,” sai
d Baughman. Assistant superintendent Ed Robinson said there have been incidents where a student denied having said or done something that had been reported as an infraction. Robinson said it is a tedious job to watch the video for hours to get to the time that an incident happened, but every time the recording has settled the matter without much disagreement. Baughman said the number of incident reports has greatly been reduced. “It does make for a safer school,” said Robinson. – In other business the board: – ACCEPTED the resignations of Kerre Butler, Jamie L.
