CHS bowling teams victorious in season debut

The Carrollton High School boys and girls bowling teams kicked off the season at home with wins over Canton-McKinley.

The Lady Warriors rolled over the Bulldogs 1521-1273 last Tuesday at Carroll Lanes. The boys team also rolled a 1950 to defeat Canton McKinley, which scored an 1840.

Devan Lumley led the Lady Warriors with games of 153 and 204 for a 357. Shelbee Stidom followed her with games of 160 and 168 for a 328; Eliza Days rolled games of 150 and 175 for a 325; and Rachel Bright had games of 159 and 126 for a 285. Kira Anderson bowled a 126 and Ali Brady a 100.

Canton McKinley’s Chelsea Dorosky led the Lady Bulldogs with a 334.

Carrollton won the “Baker” 578-483.

The Carrollton boys JV team defeated McKinley 1482-1365.

Derek Lumley led the way for Carrollton with games of 267 and 189 for a 456. Following Lumley were Dalton Ulman with games of 223 and 203 for a 426; Zachary Roberts rolled 233 and 150 for a 383; and Trenton Proctor had games of 177 and 173 for a 350. Tyler Fox bowled a 170 and Alex Mitchell a 165.

Carrollton won the “Baker” 837-671.

The Lady Warriors won their second match of the season over Jackson.

Bright led the Lady Warriors with games of 213 and 203 for a 416 during the 1806-1664 at Colonial Lanes. She was followed by Stidom with games of 197 and 156 for a 353; Anderson with games of 197 and 150 for a 347; and Days and Devan Lumley tied with games totaling 345.

The Lady Warriors won the “Baker” 695-618.

The boy bowlers fell to Jackson 2084-2004.

Fox rolled games of 288 and 174 for a 462. Ulman followed him with games of 234 and 192 for a 426; Derek Lumley bowled games of 179 and 216 for a 395; and Proctor had games of 214 and 161 for a 375. Roberts rolled a 178 and Alex Mitchell a 168.

Jackson won the “Baker” 755-662.

Carrollton’s boys JV team won over Jackson 1831-1538.

The Carrollton Bowling teams competed against East Canton and Canton Central Catholic earlier this week. They will host Canton South Dec. 1 at 4 p.m. at Carroll Lanes.
