CARROLLTON – Following a 30-minute executive session, village council approved an employee transfer during the May 29 meeting.

Tom Ferrell, street department supervisor, will transfer to the open laborer position in the sewer department effective June 3. Ferrell’s salary will be adjusted to the position. The village will advertise to fill his position. Until a new supervisor is hired, Ryan Jellick, assistant supervisor, will fill in.

In an unrelated matter, Johnathan Nitz who resides on Park Ave., asked council to reconsider closing an alley behind his property. Due to a garage near the front of his property, the back area of his property becomes landlocked with the closing of the alley. Other residents whose property borders the alley were also in attendance. Mayor Bill Stoneman told Nitz council would not reconsider the closing.
