Donald Foster Kirkpatrick, 80, of Carrollton, died early Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016, surrounded by his family, while in the care of Community Hospice House in New Philadelphia.
Born Sept. 11, 1936, in Hollloway, OH, he was a son of the late William and Lois (Hufnagel) Kirkpatrick.
Donald married the former Audrey Braken June 16, 1956. He retired from Atmosphere Annealing, Inc. He enjoyed mowing, gardening, and fishing and doing anything he could to be outdoors.
He is survived by his wife; his children, Jeff (Julie) Kirkpatrick of Carrollton, Lisa Kaiser-Byrd of Denver, CO, Gerald Kirkpatrick of Bolivar, Dale (Jane) Kirkpatrick of Toronto, OH, Denita (Todd) Zorger and Lydia (Donald) Lucas, both of Carrollton, and Amy (James) Gilland of New Wilmington, PA; a brother, Dean Kirkpatrick of Carrollton; 23 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by six siblings.
In keeping with his wishes there will be no public visitation or services. Cremation has been cared for by Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory.
Memorial contributions in Donald’s name may be directed to a charity of the donor’s choice.
