Elizabeth “Marie” Leggett, 69, of Carrollton, died Oct. 7, 2016, in Hospice House in New Philadelphia.
Born May 10, 1947,in Canton, she was a daughter of the late Harry Wesley and Georgia (Post) Berry.
She worked at the Scio Pottery and various restaurants in the Carrollton area. She attended Harsh Memorial Church. Her hobbies were her gardens and canning the fall harvest. She was talented in sewing and quilting.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Charles Leggett, who she married July 4, 1989; two sons, Mike (Dawn) Snair of Carrollton and Shawn Snair (companion Dawn Derheimer) of Adena; a daughter, Sarah Snair of New Philadelphia; a stepdaughter, Teresa (Jerry) Moreland of East Sparta; two stepsons, Dave (Robin) Leggett of Carrollton and Dennis (Amanda) Leggett of Roswell; a brother, Harry (Lori) Berry Jr. of Steubenville; a sister, Martha Householder of Illinois; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Brown; and her first husband, Richard Henry Snair.
No services are planned at this time. Burial will be in Harlem Springs Cemetery at a later date.
