With a humble spirit and a heart full of gold, Evelyn Youngen, 67, left her home here on earth Monday, Aug. 10, 2015, to be with our LORD. Her kindness and patience was the steady love that held her family together.
Whether among family and friends, or even her clients, Evelyn was a quiet voice who lifted the spirits of all who knew her and she helped and inspired them to be and to look their very best. Evelyn was the caring wife of Ron Youngen for more than 40 years, and she was the encouraging mother of Angela Youngen and Charles (Nicole) Youngen. Evelyn was the previous owner of the Hair Gallery and was actively involved in the family farm.
She is also survived by her sisters, Gloria Medley, Kathy Host, Lila Peplinski, and Karen Rutledge. She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Heid; her mother, Esther Roby; and her brother, Larry Heid. A celebration of her life was held Aug. 14 in Dodds Funeral home. The family requests gifts in her memory can be given to Trinity Gospel Temple, 1612 Tuscarawas St., West, Canton, OH 44708.
