Gloria “Tootie” Lipscomb, 83, of Kensington, died peacefully in her home, Friday, Sept. 18, 2015.
Born Sept. 5, 1932, in Navarre, she was a daughter to Don and Helen (Miller) Baker.
She was a former co-owner of the Southern Inn and Normandy Inn and more recently was the business manager for Moore Care. She graduated from Minerva High School in 1950, was a member of Eagles FOE #2199 in Minerva and VFW Aux. #4120 in Minerva. She was the family matriarch and “Camp Director” for the family, grandchildren and all of their friends. She was well known to many as Grandma Tootie and their second mom.
She is survived by a daughter, Paula (Jim) Moore of Kensington; son, Brad (Sudie) Yoder of Carrollton; stepson, Doug (Mary) Lipscomb; 11 grandchildren, Evan Yoder, Kellen (Rachel) Yoder, Braden Yoder, Alanna (David) Alexander, Josh and Lindsey Moore, Logan Moore, Taylor Moore, Taryn Lipscomb, Landon (Corin) Clark and Corey (Samantha) Clark; and five great grandchildren; Lane, Jayden, Lila, Brooks and Lennon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Lipscomb in 1986; and her former husband, Jake Yoder.
