Helen Martha (Hill) Lowdermilk, 92, of Carrollton passed away Jan. 30, 2016, in the Carroll Golden Age Retreat.
She was born Aug. 10, 1923, in Jefferson County, OH, to Robert Clark Hill and Nettie Grace (Magee) Hill.
A lifetime resident of Carrollton, she belonged to the Carrollton Bible Chapel. Helen married Harold Wayne Lowdermilk Aug. 10, 1941. He died Jan. 12, 2008. Helen worked at Carrollton Manufacturing and Tom Kaufman Company.
She is survived by two daughters, Janet Cline of N.C. and Kathy Lowdermilk of Louisville, OH; devoted sons-in-law, Louie Cline and Donald Smith; a brother, Harry (Mary) Hill of Carrollton, a sister, Ruth (Carl) Tipton of Cambridge, OH; five grandchildren, Michael (DeAnna) Staley, Martin (Christina) Cline, Todd (Beth) Smith, Mandi (Alan) Moeller and Andrea Smith; 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death, along with her parents, were a daughter, Linda Smith; and two brothers: Billy Hill and Raymond Hill.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Golden Age Retreat or the Carrollton Bible Chapel.
Calling hours will be held Feb. 2 in Allmon Dugger Cotton Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Feb. 3 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Chuck Wilson and Pastor Michael Staley officiating. Burial will follow at Harlem Springs Cemetery.
