Jackie Lee Albrecht, Sr., 70, of Minerva, passed away Monday, Feb. 8, 2016, in Minerva Eldercare after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born Aug.13, 1945, in Massillon, he was a son of the late Carl F. and Christina (Hoffman) Albrecht.
He was a dairy farmer and truck driver. He was a driver education instructor for National Drivers Training. Jackie served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed the simpler things in life.
Jackie is survived by two daughters, Christine (Darrin) Ulman, of Mechanicstown;
Cheryl (David) Rohr, of Kensington; a son, Jackie (Shelley) Albrecht, Jr., of Mechanicstown; grandchildren, Brittany Lucille Rohr, Dalton, Devan, Dustin, and Dylan Ulman; a sister, Rose McClead, of Beach City; and a brother, Roland (Agatha) Albrecht, of Massillon.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva L (Dickey) Albrecht; a granddaughter Brooke Haley Ulman; one brother, Junior Albrecht; and two sisters, Doris Poorman and Margie Hardesty.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb.12 at 11 a.m. in Bartley Funeral Home with Rev. John Carpenter officiating. Burial will be in Augusta Cemetery.
