James H. Lemons, 71, of Dellroy, died Monday morning, Oct. 3, 2016, in his residence.
Born June 17, 1945, in Tampa, FL, he was the son of the late Charles Miller and Dorothy Hobbs Lemons.
James retired in 2010 after a career as an over-the-road truck driver, having driven for numerous trucking companies for more than 23 years. He served his country for a total of 14 years, having spent time in both the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Army. He particularly enjoyed spending time around his family farm.
He is survived by his wife Janet C.; Flanagan Lemons, whom he married July 9, 2004; and a sister, Paula Jane Owens of Heyworth, IL.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded death by a son, Scott H. Lemons.
In accordance with his wishes, no formal services will be observed. Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home in Sherrodsville is handling arrangements.
