Kevin G. McCullough, 63


Kevin G. McCullough, 63, passed away St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, 2016, after a year long battle with cancer.

Born March 19, 1952, in Dover, he was the son of the late Thomas and Edith (Cal) McCullough.

He graduated from Dover Saint Joseph High School ad attended the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire before enlisting in the United States Navy and serving in Vietnam. After his service, he began a career in construction and as a construction manager building a nursing home in Carrollton.

He met and married his soul mate and best friend of 33 years, Erma Miller. He was an active member of the Atwood Yacht Club, serving as a board member and flag master. In his spare time his love of sailing had him running sailing races and helping with the Junior Sailing Program for a number of years.

In addition to his wife Erma, he is survived by his sisters, Patricia (Trish) McCullough (Glen Enslen) of Atwood Lake and Margaret “Peg” Calhoun (Jeff) of Summerville, SC; a brother, Michael McCullough (Sherry) of Sacramento, CA; his “other brother” and cousin, Dick Wilhelm of New Philadelphia; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

Per his request, a memorial service will be held Friday March 25 at 2:30 p.m. in Atwood Yacht Club to celebrate and remember his life.
