Born June 5, 1922, in Salineville, she was a daughter to Eugene and Blanche (Raffle) Dallas.
She was a housewife and worked in the office at Cronin China. She was a member of Minerva First Christian Church where she had been a Deaconess, member of the choir, and active in many church activities. She was a band mother and Girl Scout leader. She helped with the Minerva Bloodmobile for over 30 years and was active in the Minerva Women’s Club and Minerva Garden Club.
She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Harry G. Shotwell, whom she married April 11, 1947; daughter, Janet (Dr. Robert) Cyders of Ashland; daughter-in-law, Sharon Shotwell of Hollywood, FL; four grandchildren, Scott (Sarah) Cyders of Ashland, Bill (Melissa) Cyders of Carmel, IN, Dr. Timothy (Jessica) Cyders of Athens and Valerie (Kevin) Killoran of Plantation, FL; and five great grandchildren, Mark, Graydon and Nora Cyders, Kately and Sean Killoran.
She was preceded in death by a son, Gary Shotwell.
Funeral services will be Friday, March 4 at 11 a.m. in Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Pastor Dale Roberts officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Alliance Hospice.
