To the Editor:

On behalf of the township association, I would like to say I am proud of all the young 4-H members who were in the still auction at the Carroll County Fair. I received a thank-you card from almost all of them, which shows it does make a difference in our community. I would like to encourage them to keep up the great work.

To the Editor:

Thank you from all the residents and staff at the Carroll Golden Age Retreat (county home) for the wonderful turnout at the Sept. 5 open house. I was surprised to see so many people from the past and present and believe everyone had a wonderful time. We are very proud of the service we provide to the elderly and disabled of the community.

All we do is made possible by our generous community which continues to support us in our mission. I cannot think of a better use of public funds than to help provide love and care for the thousands of community residents and families which have benefitted through the use of this service in one way or another for the past 176 years.

To the Editor:

Well, another year has gone by and now it’s almost October so I’m asking everyone to bring us your tabs soon. Remember, any tabs are good because they are all aluminum and there are lots of cans.

As everyone knows, we take them to Akron Childrens Hospital to the dialysis unit (not used for dialysis though). They use the money for things for the kids while they take their treatments for things such as movies, video games, books, crayons, etc. They also give money to the parents if they need it for medications, gas, food and motel rooms.

Please call me at 330-739-5501 if you have tabs for us and I’ll get them or drop them off at the church. We didn’t have too many last year and I hope to get lots more this year. Every little bit helps and is appreciated.
