The youth of Pleasant Grove United Methodist plan to deliver two special services May 6.
A morning Rural Life Sunday service begins at 11 a.m., recognizing the importance of the early church circuit riders and the faith-filled rural communities that laid the foundation of today’s Methodist Church in the United States.
The service will include a tribute to farmers and farm families and their dedication to provide food and fiber to the world. Communion will be offered.
A potluck luncheon will follow. The meal is free, but a free-will donation will be accepted to benefit the Lois Frase family. The family is repairing and replacing equipment in the milk house following a March 18 fire.
The Rural Life Sunday theme will continue with the evening worship service, which begins at 6:30 p.m. The service includes a message to remember Ascension Thursday. Coffee, cake and fellowship will follow. Again, donations will be given to the Frase family.
The public is invited to attend. The church is located at 5320 Arrow Rd., Minerva.
