A well-known Magnolia eatery has reopened.
Tozzi’s restaurant, which has been closed since 2011, has been reopened at the same location at 144 N. Main St. by David (Duke) and Dina Tozzi and their new partner, Mike Capobianco, who welcome all former and new diners.
Serving the public since 1914, the original restaurant was opened by Tozzi’s grandfather, the late Luigi Tozzi and his wife, Fanny, serving lunches and Italian dinners. In the mid 1960s, Mike Tozzi and his wife, Helen, opened the remodeled upstairs as a restaurant serving steaks and Italian dinners. The family moved the restaurant back downstairs in 1982 where it was operated by Helen and her three sons, Michael Jr., Louis and David (Duke). In 2011, a fire shut down the restaurant.
Tozzi’s has been newly remodeled and reopened with an expanded menu and continues to serve their classic steaks and Italian cuisine.
The new menu, featuring the flair of Chef Mark Green, features a wide choice of entrees, including steaks, filet, strip and 32-oz porterhouses, a double cut 14-oz pork chop, pork wellington, chicken risotto, salmon and seared scallops.
Pasta entrees include spaghetti, fettuccine Alfredo, Mama Tozzi’s lasagna, chicken Parmesan, Amsterdam, lobster linguine, seafood pasta and sausage penne. Also featured are salads, wedding soup, a variety of appetizers and desserts and Tozzi’s famous garlic bread.
