Volleyball teams picks up pair of wins

The Carrollton Lady Warrior volleyball team won two of three matches last week improving their record to 9-10.

The Lady Warriors traveled to Canton South to take on the Wildcats Sept. 8.

The Lady Warriors defeated the Wildcats in three sets: 25-21; 25-20; and 25-21.

Leading the way for the Lady Warriors were: MiKayla Poole (2-aces) and Sadie Green (1-ace) with 8-points apiece; MiKayla Poole provided 18 assists; Kady Davis recorded 20 digs; Ali Poole had 18 kills; and Roz Pridemore recorded 1-solo block and 1-assist.

The Lady Warriors hosted the Alliance Aviators Oct. 6 and won in three sets: 25-19; 25-16; and 25-14.

Davis set the pace for the Lady Warriors with 15 points and 2-aces.

Lady Warriors following Davis were: MiKayla Poole with 14 assist; Ali Poole recorded 14 digs and 11 kills; and Jaci Pridemore with 4-solo blocks and 1-assist.

The Lady Warriors lost to Tuscarawas Central Catholic in three sets Oct. 3: 25-14; 25-22; and 25-13.

Leaders for the Lady Warriors included: MiKayla Poole, 10 assists; Davis 7-points, 2-aces and 11 digs; Ali Poole recorded 5-kills and 2-solo blocks; Roz Pridemore also recorded 5-kills; Jaci Pridemore added 2-solo blocks.

The Lady Warriors will host the Louisville Leopards Thursday. Game time is 6 p.m.
