Born Sept. 2, 1927, in Dellroy, she was a daughter to Lloyd Clark and Alice Myrtle (Cramer) Hoobler.
Faye graduated from Dellroy High School. She belonged to the former New Harrisburg Presbyterian Church. She was a 58-year member of Carroll Chapter of Ohio Eastern Star. She belonged to the Ohio Municipal Clerks Association where she worked in the Common Pleas Court General Division, Probate and Juvenile Division as well as Carroll County Court for over 30 years.
Faye is survived by two daughters, Jeri (Dwight) Boor of New Philadelphia and Judi (Marion) Noble of Carrollton: three grandchildren, Shannon Noble and fiancée Jeff Mick, Angie Jennings and companion Rick Lewton of Dellroy, and Megan (Chris) Green of Massillon; four great grandchildren, Kase Plunket, Thomas Jennings, Abigail Jennings and Lily Green; two great -great grandchildren, Aceia and Rykr Plunket; numerous nieces and nephews; and her companion for 13 years, Dean A. Grunder.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Willis Mathison, whoms he married July 30, 1946, and who died July 6, 2001; a brother, Donald Hoobler; and a sister; Doris Brown.
Funeral service will be Thursday, Dec. 3 at 1 p.m. in Allmon Dugger Cotton Funeral Home with calling hours at the funeral home from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Burial will be in New Harrisburg Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be given to Carroll County Hospice or the Golden Age Retreat.
